Can I use Medifast if I am currently using diuretics?
We recommend that you ask your physician if a low calorie diet is
appropriate for you. Your physician may recommend having your
electrolytes monitored if you take a diuretic, due to the increased
urine output resulting from doing the Medifast program.
The weight loss program in conjunction with diuretic use may result in an
alteration of your sodium / potassium levels (due to the increased
urine output). Your physician may adjust the dosage of (or
discontinue the use of) the diuretic while you are doing the Medifast program.
