I first went to see Dr. Binder in 1999. My vision
was so bad I could not see more than two or three feet in front
of my face, literally felt like I was blind. I had the procedure
done and went in for regular check ups for the first month. He
was cautious because there would be such a major correction
needed and he did not want to overdo it, make me far-sighted.
After one month I went in and my vision was much improved but
about 20/50. He had asked me to wait a month since there is a
fluctuation as your vision adjusts. At that point Dr. Binder
said I needed an enhancement procedure. It was scheduled and
this time it was perfect. I went in for a four year check up in
2003 and my vision was still 20/15. Over the last year and a
half my vision has been deteriorating again (normal with age,
damn) and I recently went back for another consultation. I will
probably have one eye done in the next four to six weeks or so.
One last thing, there are plenty of cheap places all over, I
long ago decided I don't want to go to K-Mart for my eyes! Oh,
and if you are a repeat customer they actually give you a pretty
good discount (although my cost, in 99, was 1500 per eye. Today
they charge 2475 an eye, 1500 with the repeat customer
discount--kind of funny). Anyway, they are the best, IMO.

I had my Lasik done with these guys a
few years ago.. This was the *FIRST* place in the USA to perform
the Lasik procedure, and they have a long-standing reputation as
being one of the best!! They have all the latest technology and
procedures (including wavefront, intralase, etc) and are very
up-front with you about costs. It is all-inclusive, so they
don't hit you up with any hidden costs such as follow-up visit
costs, medication, etc.. I paid $2500 per eye and it was worth
every penny!! I would highly recommend these guys.
