I had Lasik with Dr. Shandzlin about a month ago.
What I really appreciated was he initially did NOT paint a rosy
picture for me. (I was far-sighted which can have more iffy
results than near-sightedness).
Anyway, so far I'm ecstatic with the results. Apparently I will
probably need basic reading glasses after some time passes,
which I knew going in. My vision is very good now, in fact I
drove myself to my followup appointment the next day.
I found everyone there to be very professional and courteous.

If you ever have any medical problems
with your eyes, do not hesitate to go here.
They are intense about treating you and do not stop until they
reach a diagnosis.
I have had to go there for two severe problems and was well
taken care of.
They still get 5 stars, but if you go there, do not be in a
hurry to go anywhere else as fashion styles change faster than
they move frequently, and be sure to bring something to pass the
time.

Image having extreme poor vision one day and the
next seeing everything with clarity.
David J. Schanzlin, MD rejected me several times prior to my
evental date, March 06. The technology was not available to
correct my vision for many years. My vision was -10 diopters
with astigmatism and double vision. I had a dry eye condition
and could have potentially detached my retina because of the
unusal high pressure in my eyes.
He informed me in early March that the technology was available
to make the corrections, however the expect corrections was
possibly no better then 20/40.
I had wavefront custom lasik in March 06. Prior to surgery my
friend told me to look at the clock on the wall before I went
under the knife. I did not see a clock. However after my
10-minute surgery and seconds after the bandages were removed I
could see the clock for the first time. By the next morning I
could see everything with a little fuzziness. My vision the
following day was 20/20 in my right eye and 20/15 in the left.
In been almost two years and my vision remains perfect. Not only
can I see at far distance, my near vision is amazing.
David J. Schanzlin performed my surgery. I owe him my eternal
thanks.
