Alicante City has a regular ferry service to the Balearic islands and a growing International airport is nearby. Alicante also boasts a spacious
harbour and amongst other historical features of the city, it has the Castle of Santa Barbara (Castillo de Santa Barbara), a huge medieval fortress overlooking Alicante from the north. It is easily accessible by a cable car up through the mountain from Jovellanas Avenue.
Alicante has many attractions. It has stunning beaches, great weather, well-priced real estate property, cheap flights and hotels and also a great nightlife if you can handle the late hours.
All-in-all the Alicante region of Spain is a great place to either
unwind or to have an adventure, depending on what you are looking
for and with a large expat community, it is no wonder many British
people choose to live here.
In the morning you could travel to the Sierra Nevadas (Grenada) and
go skiing or snowboarding and in the afternoon you could be soaking
up the sun, sea and sand on a beautiful, spacious beach. Not only
this, but you can also get ferries to Majorca, Ibiza and Tabarca
Island from Alicante harbour, so you will never have a lack of
options available to you.
With real estate prices and property in Alicante still at good
value, there are many opportunities still to invest or relocate to
Alicante as it is a beautiful place to visit and to live in.
